Lloyd Smucker wants to reignite the American Dream. He believes this can be achieved by working to increase economic opportunities for everyone, reining in Washington’s out-of-control spending, and providing regulatory relief to small businesses so they can expand and create jobs.

Prior to being elected to Congress in 2016, Rep. Smucker owned and operated the Smucker Company for 25 years and grew the small business to eventually employ hundreds of people. He served two terms in the Pennsylvania State Senate, where he led the charge to hold elected officials accountable by proposing reforms to the ethics guidelines. He was also the Chairman of the Pennsylvania Senate Education Committee, ensuring our students receive a quality education and passed legislation to ensure schools receive fair funding.

Since taking office, Rep. Smucker has worked to advance conservative policies that right-size government, grow our economy, create jobs, and ensure our nation is strong and secure. During the tax reform debate, he was an important voice, taking his constituents’ concerns to Washington and advocating for them to be included in the final bill. As a result, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act increased Americans’ median household income by $5,000.

Lloyd is a member of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, the chief tax-writing committee in the House. Lloyd has spent his time focusing on pro-growth, pro-family policies.
